History: An original of The Pirate hung for many years in the Walt Disney Corporate Headquarters. In another oil on canvas version dated 1965, the Pirate has a flintlock in front of him rather than a map. The owner was kind enough to contact us and share the story of his painting.

The Old Man of the Sea and The Fisherman are perfect paired as a set. Both pieces are available in 8" 10" and were originally pastel works.
